JONATHAN ROWE | DAILY NEWS SETTING THE BAR: Members of the Shepard Cancer Foundation board, members of the Let’s Tee It Up For a Cure golf tournament committee and staff members at the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center met at the center for this year’s check presentation. A check for $75,686.61 was given to the foundation, resulting from the fundraising headed by two local golf communities — Washington Yacht and Country Club and Cypress Landing. The sale of pink and purple bows, the annual Hope and Heroes Walk, the annual golf tournament and several other facets of the fundraiser brought the community together to make the donation possible. Pictured are members of the board and the committee during the presentation.
