Ben Howard

Ben F. Howard, husband, father, granddaddy, teacher, coach, beach bum, avid reader and friend, died at Duke Regional Hospital November 5, 2015, following two weeks critical illness. He was born in Washington on December 23, 1944, to Benjamin F. Howard Sr. and Adelaide Jones Howard, both deceased. Mr. Howard was married for 49 years to Mrs. Helen A. Howard. He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Beth Solis and her husband Allan Solis of Cary, NC and a son, Jeff Howard and his wife Gina Howard of Greensboro, NC, and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Claire and Paul Howard and Valeria Solis.  He is also survived by his sisters Frances Dees of Washington, and Emma Ellis of Castle Hayne, NC, and his brothers-in-law, Dean Andrews and Bob Marlin of Warrenton, NC and many nieces and nephews.
