Philippi Church of Christ in Cherry is now accepting applications for The Upward Experience, recreational basketball for kindergarteners through sixth-grade students.

The program is designed to build competetive athletic skills, character, confidence and spirit.

There is one practice and one game per week mid-January through end of February, 2016.

A unique substitution system ensures every youth athlete plays. Quality game-day uniform and other sport-related gear are used. Age-appropriate character and skill development are employed both on and off the court.

Registration cost per child for basketball is $59, and the deadline is Dec. 31.
