Mrs. Patricia “Gail” Burchette Moye, age 65, a resident of 51 Dockside Drive, Chocowinity, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 14, 2015 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, conducted by Jason Kirkman. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Tommy Poe, Tommy Randolph, Steve Baker, Alton Baldree, Larry Lewis and Mark Cutler.
Mrs. Moye was born in Mooresville, N.C. on September 15, 1950. She was the daughter of Mae Dunn Burchette and the late Charlie James Burchette. Mrs. Moye retired from the Beaufort-Hyde-Martin (BHM) Library, where she worked with the bookmobile. She attended Haw Branch Church of Christ.
Mrs. Moye was married to James Franklin Moye Jr., who survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Moye is survived by her son, Larry Whittington and wife, Lynn of Chocowinity; her daughter, Rhonda Whittington Donald and husband, Tim of Clinton; mother, Mae Dunn Burchette of China Grove; granddaughter, Laura Whittington of Chocowinity; two stepsons, Eddie Moye and wife, Teresa of Greenville, Rob Moye and wife, Tammy of Wilmington; step-grandchildren, Jimmy Moye and wife, Carin, Raegan Parker, Rachel Moye, Michael Paige and wife, Felicia; step great grandchild, Jaylin Marie Moye; mother-in-law, Dorothy Moye of Washington; five sisters, Charlene Whitley and husband, Wayne of Rockwell, N.C, Ann Fisher of Rockwell, N.C.; Linda Hargett and husband, Rick of Gastonia, N.C., Shelia Goodman and husband, Todd of Mooresville, N.C., Janie Henry of Landis, N.C.; and brother, James Burchett and wife, Patti of China Grove.
Mrs. Moye was preceded in death by her father, Charlie James Burchette.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Friday, November 13, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington and other times at her home.
