Eastern Elementary explores importance of bats in nature

EASTERN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BATS: Students in Elizabeth Sanders’ class at Eastern Elementary School have been learning about different types of bats and their importance in the world. Ms. Sanders' class has been learning what makes bats living things, and how they are different than birds and other animals. The students were proud of their bubble map on bats. They were excited to learn that bats sleep upside down! They learned that bats do not have mustaches, but they are covered in fur.
