The A to Z Doll Club met Oct. 26, 2015, at the Golden Corral in Washington. Those present included members Diana Cates, Betty Ross, Shirley Woolard, Martha Robbins, Marti Buchanan, Martuerite Ferry, Colleen Lupton, Patricia Harris, Catherine Fulford, Gloria Windley, Donna Hodges, Joyce Carawan, Martha Seighman and guests Mary Eddy, Marguerite’s daughter from Pennsylvania, Donna’s granddaughter Bailey Hodges, and Jonathan Rowe, reporter from the Washington Daily News.

President Diana called the meeting to order and Martha R. asked a blessing. Favors came from Colleen, Marguerite, Patricia and Martha S. Marguerite introduced her Daughter Mary Eddy from Pennsylvania.
Martha S. read the September minutes and Shirley gave the treasurer’s report.
Much discussion and last minute details of the Doll Show Oct. 31 were discussed and finalized. The Tarheel Variety Theater will be open Friday from 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. and possibly as late as 5 p.m. Dorris will open at 7 a.m. on Saturday.
Betty told about the table décor — Black Cat witch and mouse witch. The club serenaded birthday girls: Patricia-Oct 10; Colleen-Oct.11; Marguerite 0ct 31.
Door prizes won by Betty, Martha R, Colleen, Patricia, Marguerite, Diana, Marti, Shirley, Catherine and Donna were given by Patricia, Betty, Martha R. Diana, Colleen and Shirley.
Jonathan Rowe from the WDN interviewed many of the members and took group photos of some of the dolls to be sold at the show. Other photos included the officers and the entire membership present plus individual shots of some with comments to be used on the front page “good morning” spot.

The next meeting will be Nov. 23 at Golden Corral.
