Charles A. Barnes
April 15, 1955 – Nov. 20, 2015 

Mr. Charles Allen Barnes, age 60, a resident of 303 Sparrows Bay Lane, Blounts Creek, died Friday, November 20, 2015 at home.

Memorial services will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be officiated by Pastor Zachariah Harris. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Barnes was born in Wilson County on April 15, 1955 to the late Harvey and Betty Jean Barnes. On June 11, 1982 he married Ava Call who survives. He was a 1973 graduate of Ralph L. Fike High School, attended Wayne Community College and North Carolina State and became a licensed electrician. He was employed with Triune Electrical and was a member of Warren Chapel United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ava Call Barnes of the home; one daughter, Valerie C. Little of Blounts Creek; one son, Garrett and wife Paige Barnes of Blounts Creek; one sister, Crystal “Crissy” Varnell of Wilson; one brother, William H. “Bill” Barnes of Wilson; three grandchildren, Charlie and wife Jaymee Meyers, Bella Kinzie, David Sanchez Jr.; one great-grandson, Ivan Lee Meyers and several loving nieces and nephews.
