JONATHAN ROWE | DAILY NEWS GIVING BACK: At a Toys for Tots drive at Yankee Hall Plantation, hosted by Tea and Topics book club annually, 150-200 toys were donated and collected toward giving children in need a Christmas this year. Pictured, Rich Morin (left) presents Jackie Deans, a Tea and Topics member, with a check given by Paul Credle in memory of his grandmother, Nellie Miles, who was also a member of Tea and Topics. The check was one of several donations made locally on her behalf, according to Morin. Also pictured are 13 United States Marines from Marine Corp Air Station Cherry Point, who joined the club and other area book clubs in attendance for a dinner and entertainment provided by John Cotton Tayloe’s third-grade choir.
