Washington man charged in stabbing

On Sunday morning around 7:15 a.m., Washington Police and EMS responded to the 100 block of Manuel Drive in reference to a domestic situation resulting in one person being stabbed, according to a press release from Lt. William Chrismon, spokesman for the Washington Police Department. The victim in this case has been transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville due to severity of injuries. Responding officers arrested a suspect identified as Terrance Lamar Chase, 40, of Whootentown Road, Washington. Chase has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, breaking and entering a motor vehicle, breaking and entering a residence and larceny from motor vehicle, the release stated. Chase is in the Beaufort County Detention Center without bond pending appearances.
