Tommy Boyd, 60, of W. Church Street, Elizabeth City, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center. Tommy was born July 22, 1955 to Martha Beacham Boyd and the late Dallas Thomas Boyd Sr. in Beaufort County and was the husband of Michele Browning Boyd of the residence. Tommy was a district manager with Kemper Insurance Company.

He was an Eagle Scout, loved playing and coaching baseball and was an Episcopalian.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Jason Thomas Boyd of FL and Daniel Michael Boyd of Elizabeth City; a daughter, Sarah Michele Boyd of Elizabeth City; a sister, Gail Hawkins of Plymouth and a brother, Scott Boyd of WV.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC.
