From the North Carolina Estuarium
Nearly smack dab in the middle of the Atlantic Flyway is the Lake Mattamuskeet National Wildlife refuge, where thousands of Tundra Swans, Snow Geese, pintails, ring-necks and widgeons can be found every winter. Join the North Carolina Estuarium in welcoming these winged travelers to our North Carolina home. Our day trip scheduled for Thursday, leaves from the Estuarium at 8:30 a.m. and returns by 5 p.m. Travel and lunch are included in the registration fee. Seats are limited so reservations are required.
There is a $35 fee for this educational program. Please call ahead to reserve your seat at 252-948-0000.
The Estuarium is a facility of the Partnership for the Sounds, a nonprofit organization promoting nature and heritage tourism in the Albemarle-Pamlico region.
