Miss Margie Lee Daw, age 93, a resident of Waterford Place, Washington, died Monday, January 25, 2016 at her home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and will be conducted by Rev. Edwin Hill. Burial will be in the Sidney Free Will Baptist Church cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home for visitation.
Miss Daw was born in Beaufort County on October 1, 1922 to the late Charlie McCoy and Fannie Davis Daw. She was a 1941 graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School, retired from Roses Stores and was a lifetime member of the Sidney Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Lula Daw and Ruby Daw, both of Bath, many beloved nieces and nephews and many friends from Waterford Place where she lived the past 23 years. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Willie Daw, Ira Daw, Charlie Daw, Frank Daw, Leslie Daw and two sisters, Pearlie Daw Burbage and Mary Daw Duff.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Sidney Free Will Baptist Church, 5580 Sidney Rd., Belhaven, NC 27810.
