The Small Business Center at Beaufort County Community College can help current and prospective business owners learn to use social media to their advantage in this workshop scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, at the Washington County Center, 100 N.C. Highway 32 North, Roper.

Social media – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube among others – plays a big part in a business marketing plan. This workshop will help participants increase their presence on these different social media platforms.

Instructor Christina Williams will help students create a social media marketing plan and learn what to post and how they can make social media work for their businesses.

Williams is a Microsoft Office Specialist and small business owner and holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Elizabeth City State University.
