Beaufort County NAACP hosts Souls to the Polls

CAROLINE HUDSON | DAILY NEWS MARCH FOR VOTES: On Saturday at 1 p.m., members of the Beaufort County NAACP gathered on the steps of the Beaufort County Courthouse to walk almost 1.5 miles to the Board of Elections office, located on Highland Drive, as part of Souls to the Polls 2016. The march, which included a police/EMS escort, was meant to raise awareness about the importance of voting in the upcoming primary election, as well as highlight issues to consider while at the polls.
