Kiwanis Club welcomes new member

KIWANIS CLUB OF WASHINGTON  NEW MEMBER: Marty Paramore was inducted as the newest member of the Kiwanis Club of Washington during Tuesday's lunch meeting. The ceremony was conducted by Bobby Roberson, club membership chairman (left) and Gil Davis (right) member sponsor. Paramore is employed as the Beaufort County Clerk of Superior Court, a position he has held for the last 10 years after being elected in 2006. Marty is a former coach for area youth teams and currently volunteers with Southside High School athletic events as an announcer and all around helper. He has worked as a probation officer and as an investigator with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s office. The Kiwanis Club of Washington meets each Tuesday for lunch at King Chicken on Carolina Avenue, Washington. The club welcomes prospective members who have an interest in service to the community.
