Elizabeth Fisher Jones
Aug. 27, 1920 – April 10, 2016

Mrs. Elizabeth Fisher Jones, 95, of Fairfield, and most recently a resident of Cross Creek Health Care Center, died Sunday, April 10, 2016.

Born in Hyde County, August 27, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Morgan and Annie Juanita Young Fisher. She was married to H. Carlyle Jones Jr., who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Fairfield United Methodist Church, and a member of the former Order of the Eastern Star Hyde County Chapter. She loved Hyde County and its people.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the family plot in Fairfield Cemetery. Pastor Joshua Horne will officiate

Surviving is a son, Michael Fisher Jones of Chesterfield, VA; a daughter-in-law, Mary Deans Jones of Raleigh; six grandchildren, Thomas Carlyle Jones Jr., Anna Lee Zoller, Elizabeth Christensen, Laura Deans Munn, Julie Neal Jones and Michael Fisher Jones Jr.

She was preceded in death by a son Thomas Carlyle Jones.

The family sends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Cross Creek Health Care Center for the compassionate care provided in her final years.

The family received friends Monday evening from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Bryan Funeral Service in Swan Quarter.
