FAMILY FUN: Eastern Elementary School hosted a family event, “A Night Under the Stars,” at Festival Park on Monday evening. Families from Washington came out for fun activities, to watch a movie and to spend time with one another. The event was made possible thanks to collaborations with Vidant Beaufort Hospital, Bright Futures Beaufort County, Tumble B Gym, City of Washington, Washington Harbor District Alliance and Downeast Entertainment. Kanaviah and Ziaire Johnson enjoy snacks and get ready to watch the movie on the projector screen. 

MOVIE TIME: Families settled down in chairs or on blankets to watch the movie at dusk.

QUALITY TIME: Heather Elliott watches “Finding Nemo” with friends, including Roxanne Beeman, Monica Davis, Lilly Davis and Jax Folk.
