P.S. Jones travels to the Capitol

SULLIVAN’S PHOTOGRAPHY TRIP TO D.C.: On April 14, P.S. Jones Middle School traveled to Washington, D.C. with 62 eighth-grade students to tour the nation's Capitol. The students spent three days visiting and learning about various historical sites throughout the city. Students were given guided tours to the Lincoln, Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. memorials, the Washington Monument, Arlington National Cemetery, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Changing of the Guard, the Iwo Jima Marine, Vietnam, Korean and World War II memorials, the 9/11 Memorial and Capitol Hill. Students also visited the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the National Zoo and Museum of Natural History and the Air and Space Museum. Students made lifelong memories while learning about the history of our great nation.
