P.S. JONES MIDDLE SCHOOL RELAY FOR LIFE: P.S. Jones Middle School faculty, students and family spent the week of April 25-29 raising money in support of the Beaufort County Relay For Life event on April 29.Throughout the week students and staff were encouraged to bring in their dollars to wear a hat, vote for a teacher to “Kiss the Goat,” attend the teacher-student relay races and for our raffle. All proceeds collected were in support of Relay for Life. Throughout the week, Builder's Club members collected donations in the carpool line. Additionally, students, teachers, local businesses and PSJ family members made and donated some amazing items for our "Evening with the Stars" silent auction event, which was held on April 26. Later in the week, PSJ staff and students "dressed in support of Relay" by donating a dollar to wear a hat on April 27. Finally, PSJ staff and students were able to "vote" for the teacher they wanted to “Kiss a Goat.” Grant Jenkins was the lucky and gracious winner. On Thursday afternoon, students and teachers enjoyed a teacher-versus-student relay race event, where the students were the clear winners.
