The meeting was called to order by Ruby Manning at 7:30 p.m.

Members present were as follows: Karen Ball, Obed Brabble, Brandi Dixon, Jeff Edwards, Carlton Manning, Ruby Manning, Carolyn Tyson, Harold Tyson, Gail Vickers, Dan Wallace, Bryan Weatherington and Phyllis Weatherington.

The “Song of America” was sung by the members, led by Carolyn Tyson. Invocation was led by Obed Brabble.

We had a meal of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, collards, rolls, cake and cookies prepared by Jeff Edwards and Karen Ball.

Then the minutes were read from the March 8 meeting. A motion was made to accept the minutes by Obed Brabble. The motion was seconded by Carolyn Tyson. The motion was carried by the members.

The treasurer’s report was read by Harold Tyson.

In old business, Ruby Manning stated she would like to have all money from raffle ticket sales to her by the May 2016 meeting. A name will be drawn in May to see who the winner of the grill will be.

In new business, a $300 scholarship for 2017 was discussed by board members.

With no other business a motion was made by Jeff Edwards and seconded by Carlton Manning to adjourn. We said the Pledge of Allegiance and we were dismissed at 8:30 p.m.
