EW (Jr.) Edwards
June 19, 1926 – May 17, 2016

Mr. EW (Jr.) Edwards, age 89, a resident of 2434 N.C. Hwy. 33 E., Chocowinity, died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Ridgewood Manor.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Haw Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the cemetery.

Mr. EW was born in Beaufort County on June 19, 1926, the son of the late Ephraim Winston Edwards and Marverna Hill Edwards. He graduated from Chocowinity High School. In 1944 he joined the U.S. Navy and served our country in WW II and Korea. On June 26, 1948 he married the former Iris Mae Forrest Edwards who preceded him in death on December 23, 1999. After serving our country, Mr. EW started farming. He also worked for Talley Brothers for many years in the hardware store. Mr. EW helped to run a tobacco warehouse in Greenville. In his later years he loved to read and watch westerns.

Mr. EW is survived by his daughter, Judy Edwards Woolard and husband, Ottis of Chocowinity.
