1 suspect arrested, another at large in Aurora robbery

On May 29, at approximately 11:30 a.m., deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a strong armed robbery that occurred at the Family Dollar in Aurora. Deputies arrived and began investigating.

The sheriff’s office collected evidence and conducted interviews. As a result of information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Investigator Kasey Clayton applied for and obtained warrants charging Moneik Laturra Moore, 25, of Seventh Street, Aurora, with one count of felony common law robbery, one count of felony assault inflicting serious bodily injury and one count of misdemeanor communicating threats.

Orlando Neville Cooper, 29, of Fourth Street, Aurora, was also charged with one count of felony common law robbery. Cooper was arrested and presented before a magistrate, where he received a $5,000 secured bond and was held in the Beaufort County Detention Center. Moneik Moore is still at large.
