GREENVILLE — LBA Group Inc. is growing its national and global technical support resources with the addition of a new position. The company announced the appointment of Chris Crosby as technical support specialist for LBA’s three business units, Lawrence Behr Associates Inc., LBA Technology Inc. and LBA University Inc.

Crosby will provide support internally to sales and marketing efforts and externally to LBA’s national and global customer base. He’ll play a key role in technical matters related to testing, training and product development.

Crosby’s radio frequency and wireless industry experience spans three decades. He has managed and audited installations for many of the major cellular carriers, tower companies and other companies within the communications industry. Some of his key areas of expertise include interference location and remediation, microwave path surveying, design and on site optimization of 4G/LTE, 802.11 networks, fiber optics networks, Software Defined Radios and APCO P25 systems.

“Chris’ broad technical background fits perfectly with needs we have across our three business units,” LBA Chief Operating Officer Mike Britner said. “He will add significant value to the efforts of our sales, marketing and customer support resources.”

He studied communications engineering at DeVry Technical Institute, holds an FCC General Radiotelephone License with radar endorsement and an FCC General Class Amateur Radio License (ham radio). Crosby’s call sign is K4RAF.

He and his wife, two cats and dog will be relocating from South Hill, Virginia. With LBA’s headquarters off of Old Pactolus Road in Greenville, Crosby and his family are hoping to settle in either Beaufort or Pitt counties.
