CPS ceremony honors 4th-grade students

CHOCOWINITY — Students graduating from the fourth grade were honored June 9 during Chocowinity Primary School’s traditional “Moving Up” ceremony.
CPS Principal Alicia Vosburgh welcomed the students and their families. Vosburgh and Assistant Principal Spencer Pake presented special awards.
Jacob Taylor was the recipient of the Principal’s Award, while De’Najah Warren was named Road Rider of the Year. The Leadership Award was presented to Leanna Hudson and this year’s Citizenship Award went to Kenny Avila Esparza. Brandon Leos Jurado was given a trophy in recognition of being the 2015-2016 CPS Spelling Bee champion.
Each of the fourth-grade students received a book donated by the family of the late Richard Potter, a dedicated volunteer at Chocowinity Primary School.
