Francis John Thibeault

Francis John Thibeault born May 7th, 1947, died early morning July 11, 2016 peacefully in his sleep from a very long and courageous battle with Cancer.

He was a very strong willed and determined man who knew no pain, a Vietnam Veteran, Specialists 337 Signal company, then onto working very hard to raise 4 children and do what he thought was right. Throughout the years having faced many hardships, he overcame and rose above, learning to love and aspire and be the man he knew he was, no sacrifice was great enough for this man, he learned a love of technology, face book for example, texting for another, with family and friends being beyond his reach sometimes. He learned to love from afar and did extremely well at letting all know he was there and they were loved; families grow and expand and move on, that doesn’t mean we are no longer family, it means we are spreading our wings and there’s always that special person to catch us, if we are to fall, this was and always will be the man, Francis John Thibeault.
He was predeceased by his mother Bertha Thilbeault, his father Edward Thilbeault, his brother Charles Thibeault, his aunt Anne Thilbeault, his uncle Arthur and his wife Sherri Thibeault, which we take comfort in knowing he is with them today and now taking care of them, as this is the man he was when he was here.
He is survived by his wife Mary Thibeault, who was courageous also in standing by his side and fighting this battle with him over the past couple of years, a love not unknown to many. His children Darlene and her husband David Peters, who shared his love of hunting and fishing, Catherine and her husband Casey Stoughton, who shared his love of family outings and get togethers, John Thibeault who shared his love of commitment and honesty and forgiveness, Frances Thibeault who shared their love of determination and loyalty. His step children Nick Ferrara, Mike Ferrara, and Tina Ferrara. His grandchildren Kathy Thibeault, Eriq Stewart, Marvin Hand, Jr., Alexis Stoughton, Antonio Ferrara, Mathew Huard, John Stuart, Dylan Stoughton, Tyson Thibeault, and Cara Peters. His great grandchild, the light of his eye, Sophia Shaw; and of course the cousins and godparents of one of his children Don and Doloris Cyr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2016 in Hodges Chapel Church in Chocowinity, NC with Rose Alligood officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 5:00 PM until the funeral hour. Friends may send online condolences by visiting www.jimmysaweyerfdl.com. Jimmy D.
