Robert Jeff Hill

Col. Robert Jeff Hill, 54, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 15, 2016 at his home. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11am at Gospel Light Church, Vanceboro. Burial will follow in the Kite Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the church.

Jeff was a lifelong resident of Vanceboro and spent his life hunting, fishing and farming on Maul Swamp Rd. He worked in construction for various companies up and down the east coast until 2001. Jeff was the owner of J&J Auction and his daily passion was spending time with the Lord and in scripture.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Nat Hill Jr. and Lynettee Todd; sister, Debbie Hill Dillon; and his beloved grandparents, Fenner G. and Retha Kite.

Jeff is survived by his sister, Twyla Hodges and husband George of Clarendon; stepbrother, Jeffrey Wayne Todd of Tabor City; nephews, Kanon Hodges and Matthew Ray Dillon; step-nephew, Chris Horst; many cousins and devoted friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Light Church, 8602 Main St, Vanceboro, NC 28586.
