Columbia Pharmacy

The staff of Columbia Pharmacy collected donations recently for a school supplies drive. Donations were collected until Aug. 5. Several items were collected, including spiral bound notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, notebook paper and hand sanitizer. Monetary donations were also accepted during this time. When the drive ended, employees of Columbia Pharmacy printed a list of school supplies from the Tyrrell County Public Schools website, www.tyrrell.k12.nc.us , and used the monetary donations to do a little shopping. Employees tried to pick up at least one or two things listed on the supply list for each grade level. In the end, $300-plus of school supplies were added to the collection bin at Columbia Pharmacy. Kirsten Bradley, pharmacist/manager of Columbia Pharmacy presented Tyrrell County Public Schools Superintendent Will Hoffman, principals from all three schools, Wayne Price, Stephanie Horton, Michael Yancy, and Tyrrell Elementary School counselor Barbara Rhodes with all the goodies the generous patrons of Columbia Pharmacy had given.

The staff of Columbia Pharmacy and Tyrrell County Schools would like to extend their gratitude to the community for supporting this effort. Thank you for investing in our children and their educational endeavors.
