Delta Kappa Gamma is a professional society that promotes professional and personal growth of women educators and excellence in education around the world.

The phrase “new beginnings” usually evokes feelings of excitement. Recently, excitement circulated among the members of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma as they prepared for the new biennium. One of the new beginnings for the Alpha Omega Chapter was to welcome the new teachers employed by Beaufort County Schools at a breakfast on Aug. 18, during the beginning teacher orientation held at the Education Tech building. In addition to the breakfast, we donated school supplies to the teachers to use in their classrooms.

Enthusiasm and eagerness radiated from the teachers as they shared their ideas for the upcoming school year. Our chapter wished them many new successes with their “new beginnings.”
