Gregory Allen Boyd, age 47, a resident of 401 Bank Street Washington, died Saturday, September 17, 2016.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, September 22, 2016 at First Church of Christ, officiated by Steve Hill. Burial will follow at Warren Memorial Cemetery in Blounts Creek. Pallbearers include Brian Warren, Rick Godley, Austin Wallace, Adam Burbage, Thomas Burbage and Jesse Kinnion.

The family will receive friends 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at First Church of Christ and other times at the home, 401 Bank Street, Washington Park, and his grandmother’s home, 31 Mary’s Drive, Blounts Creek.

Mr. Boyd was born in Beaufort County on June 25, 1969 to the late George Allen Boyd and Betty Lou Fleming Boyd. He was a member of the First Church of Christ. On July 16, 1994 he married Regina Lynn Ross who survives. He enjoyed fishing and drawing. Mr. Boyd loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife: Regina Ross Boyd; a son: Matthew Boyd and his girlfriend Kaila Modlin of Chocowinity; two daughters: Schyler Boyd Smith and husband Tyler of Greenville and Lindsay Boyd and boyfriend Kenneth Edwards of Washington; two grandchildren: Kenley Smith and Bailey Edwards; a grandmother: Mary Fleming of Blounts Creek; a sister, Genna Leary and husband Shane of Wyoming; a nephew: Connor Leary and a niece: Elizabeth Leary, both of Wyoming and a mother-in-law: Mary Ross of Washington.

He is preceded in death along with his parents, George A. Boyd and Betty Lou F. Boyd and by his father-in-law, Fenner Ross.
