On Wednesday, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Stacy Jones, 35, of 444 Minor Run Road in Edward. Jones was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while license revoked and two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin.
Jones’ arrest stemmed from investigators making purchases of heroin from him, and witnessing Jones driving a vehicle on N.C. Highway 33 in Chocowinity without a valid driver’s license. Investigators pursued Jones to conduct a vehicle stop. Jones threw a plastic bag containing heroin out the window before stopping for investigators.
Jones was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $25,000 secured bond. Jones is currently on probation and out on bond for pending drug charges.
