Genet Everette Lilley

Genet Everette Lilley, 87, of Belhaven, died Monday, November 21, 2016.
The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11:30 am in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lilley was born on February 25, 1929 to Zeno McLean and Florence Boyd Everette in Pitt County. She married Harold Brinkley Lilley from Williamston, NC in 1951, and for 65 years she had made her home in Greenville. She was employed with Sprint Telephone, retiring after 40 years of service. An avid reader, Mrs. Lilley enjoyed spending time with her dog, Max. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was active in the Church Circle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1997; sisters, Myrtle E. Jones, Janie Whitaker and Elizabeth Fodrey; and a brother, Woodrow Everette.
She is survived by her: stepson, Brink Lilley Jr.; step-grandsons, Travis and Robert Lilley, all of Albuquerque, New Mexico; brother, Zeno M. Everette, of Vanceboro; 10 nieces and nephews; and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
