All armed forces veterans and active-duty service members are invited to ride on the Veterans Float in the Rivertown Christmas parade that begins at 4 p.m. on Dec. 3 in Columbia.

The assembly area is at Columbia High School, and veterans are asked to wear service organization headgear (Legion, VFW, VVA, DAV, etc.). Active-duty service members should wear uniforms.

Parade organizers ask that participants assemble at the high school by 3:30 p.m.
