Mr. Larry Wayne Perry, Sr., age 70, a resident of 10085 U.S. Highway 264 East, Washington, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, in the chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory, officiated by Skip Hurley. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Joseph Perry Jr., Robert Perry, Kevin Rutledge, Johnathan Nelson, Edward Potter and Phil Trueblood will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron and Christopher Perry.

The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.

Mr. Perry was born in Beaufort County on Sept. 25, 1946, son of the late Woodrow Wilson Perry and the late Beulah Mae Roberson Perry. He attended Bath High School. On July 6, 1968, he married the former Dena Allison Rutledge who preceded him in death on March 29, 2004. Mr. Perry worked many years with Carolina Dairy as a manager and was a member of Woodard’s Pond Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son: Brett Allen Perry and wife Chasity, of Washington; three daughters: Lesley Perry Dwyer and husband Kevin, of Greenville, Allison Perry Whitford and husband Skip, of New Bern, and Penny Perry Adams, of New Bern; two brothers: Joseph Wilson Perry and wife Roberta, and Dwain Perry and wife Lenora, all of Washington; a daughter-in-law: Cheryl Perry Woodring and husband Danny, of Belhaven, and 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Perry was predeceased by a son: Larry Wayne Perry Jr.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, c/o Patient Assistance Fund, 1209 Brown St. Washington, NC 27889.
