William “Red” Clark

Mr. William “Red” Henry Clark, age 81, a resident of 1075 Horse Pen Swamp Road, Washington, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Clark will lie in state Friday, December 2, 2016 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm. The family will receive friends other times at the home.

Mr. Clark was born in Beaufort County on June 7, 1935 to the late William and Annie Bishop Clark. On September 25, 1950 he married Opal Daphine Lilley who survives. He was employed with A&P for 39 years and Food Lion for 7 years. He attended Old Ford Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Daphine L. Clark of the home, one daughter, Lynn C. Forbes and husband Terry of Snow Hill, two granddaughters, Jessica Lynn Forbes, Sarah Elizabeth Forbes, both of North Bergen, New Jersey, two sisters, Mary Paul, Geraldine Roebuck and one sister-in-law, Anna Laura Clark, all of Washington.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Old Ford Church of Christ, 6040 US Hwy. 17 N., Washington, NC 27889.
