Belhaven man charged with selling cocaine

On Dec. 3, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Anthony Freeman, 39, of 646 Pantego St. in Belhaven. Freeman was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Freeman’s arrest stemmed from investigators making purchases of cocaine from Freeman in the Belhaven area. Investigators arrested Freeman for selling cocaine and conducted a search of his residence and a separate residence located at 541 Riverview St. in Belhaven.
Investigators found marijuana, cocaine, digital scales and packaging material used to package a controlled substance.
Freeman was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $7,500 secured bond.
