Published 8:58 pm Friday, December 16, 2016
Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.
All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC, visit ENC Shelter Dogs, ENC Shelter Cats and Washington Cat Rescue on Facebook or call 252-946-4517 for more information. The Humane Society of Beaufort County can also be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BeaufortCountyNCHumaneSociety.
Sox
Our approximately 3-year-old, large, American pit bull terrier–mix is a smart, likeable, friendly girl who likes attention and loves treats. With one ear going up and the other one down, Sox is not only cute but attractive in her shorthair coat of red and white. Sox needs to be the only animal in the household because she did not test well with other dogs at the shelter.
Sox deserves a good, loving, forever home where she can be a faithful companion, and have an owner(s) willing to give her love, attention, exercise in a fenced area or on leash and basic obedience training.

Sir Lancelot
Living a life patterned after his namesake, our Sir Lancelot is a true knight in shining armor. Dashing in his shorthair coat of pale orange with dark orange stripes, white accents and huge topaz eyes, this 2-year-old, large, tabby boy is ever so gentle and friendly. This chivalrous cat is more than willing to champion your causes and be a wonderful pet and companion in a good and loving forever home.
