On Jan. 5, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Kevin Boomer, 40, of 77 Corvette Road in Washington, and Clyde Wiggins, 26, of 107 Sandpointe Drive in Washington. Boomer was charged with trafficking in cocaine by possession, trafficking in cocaine by transportation, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wiggins was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Their arrest stemmed from investigators conducting a traffic stop on a vehicle that Boomer and Wiggins were operating. Investigators conducted a search of the vehicle and found 60 grams of cocaine, 7 grams of marijuana and $2,300 in cash.
