Mr. Marvin Ray Cox, age 68, a resident of 1660 W. 5th St., Washington, died Friday, January 13, 2017 at Ridgewood Manor.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Trinity Cemetery in Chocowinity and will be conducted by Danny Edge and Mike Chandler.

Mr. Cox was born in Beaufort County on March 10, 1948 to the late Willie Charlie Cox and Lonia Mae Boyd Cox. He was owner operator of Cox Plumbing and was a member of Providence United Methodist Church.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews and longtime friend and companion, Bertha Lee Tyson of the home. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roland Cox, Carlton Lee Cox, William David Cox and one sister, Susie Pauline Cox.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
