Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Hogan

This approximately 7-year-old, Akita/Siberian husky-mix is a smart, friendly and likeable fellow. Large and absolutely gorgeous with a shorthair coat of black, white and silver, Hogan is a calm boy: gentle, attentive and very nice. He was surrendered and reported to be crate-trained, and an inside dog who knows several commands. Hogan needs owner(s) willing to give him love, attention, exercise in a fenced area or on leash. He deserves a good, loving forever home where he can be a faithful companion and pet.

Volunteers are not aware of the reasons for surrender. Requests for more information may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter, or email to animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use Hogan’s ID#0067.

For photos and video, visit www.facebook.com/EncShelterDogs and click on the appropriate links.

Come spend a little time with Hogan; he is available at the shelter.

Lenny

A 2-month-old juvenile kitten, Lenny is gentle, playful and fun. He is a classic orange tabby, with a soft-to-the-touch American shorthair coat, showing luscious swirls of light and dark orange. His huge green eyes are ever alert and ready for a game. Lenny wants and needs love, attention, care and playtime; in return, he will show you unconditional love, friendship and companionability. Lenny will fit well in a variety of good forever home scenarios. Come in, get acquainted and play with him; see for yourself what a great little guy he is. Lenny, ID#0089, is available through next Saturday.
