Fundamentals of Google Analytics
All business owners should know the basics of Google Analytics from their website, even if they do not manage their own ads and social media. Google Analytics is free and shows how and why people found a website. This is key to attracting more of the right customers. Students will learn how to set up basic Google Analytics on a WordPress website and how to read Google Analytics. They will learn key things they need to pay attention to and how to use this information to increase business. This seminar will take place from 2-5 p.m. on Thursday.
How to Write a Business Plan
Starting a small business is a huge step for anyone. This class will help students with the fundamentals of writing a business plan. A business plan is the foundation for success when making a decision to start a new business or acquire an existing business. A business plan is key when it comes to seeking funds for a business. Topics discussed include: the executive summary, describing a business, conducting marketing research, and analysis and marketing the business. The workshop runs from 3-5 p.m. on Feb. 13.
Starting and Operating a Home-Based Business
Learn how to make a living by operating a new or existing home-based business.
A smart new business can survive in a marketplace where selling at cost appears to be the norm. Find great employees who have that special something. Learn what enables fast food stores to do so well on a street with nothing but other fast food stores.

Beginning Microsoft Excel
Excel is a versatile, business-oriented application. Beginners are encouraged to attend, and proficient users may learn new tricks. This class will go over creating a worksheet, formatting a worksheet, embedding charts, file management, saving, printing and basic formulas and functions. It will take place at the Hyde County Davis Center in Engelhard on Feb. 16 from 2-4 p.m.
