Tuesday morning at around 6 a.m., Washington officers arrested William Tyler Ward, 22, of Bay Lake Street, Chocowinity, and Tyler Andrew Ayers, 24, of Whichards Beach Road, Chocowinity.

Both men have been charged with seven counts of breaking and entering motor vehicle, two counts of larceny of a firearm and six counts of larceny. They were placed in Beaufort County Detention Center with $60,000 bonds.

The investigation is ongoing, as Washington Police works with Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, Pitt County Sheriff’s Office and Greenville Police Department on additional cases in their jurisdictions. Additional charges are pending.
