PINETOWN — Northside flew past Columbia, 10-2, on Wednesday for their second win of the season-opening week. Tanner Alligood was a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate and pitched three innings to earn the win.

Parker Boyd and Ethan Cosentino each had multiple hits, too. Other Panthers to collect a hit were Brock Marsh, Matthew Marslender, Reg Bishop, Braedon Burbage and James Barrow.

Other than a two-run sixth inning, Northside’s pitchers and the defense behind them did well to hold back Columbia’s bats. The Panthers will host Ayden-Grifton on Friday for their toughest test of the young campaign.
