The Beaufort County Community College Foundation is proud to announce the following recipients of scholarships through the BCCC Foundation for the spring 2017 semester.

Caroline Boyd of Washington has received the Lucy Burgess Endowment Scholarship. Boyd, 18, attended Washington High School and is working toward an associate in general education. She is the daughter of Angela and Bo Boyd and plans to be a transfer to a four-year university. She is currently employed as a kennel worker at Pamlico Animal Hospital.

Rhianna Clipperton of Chocowinity has received the Harold and Louise Lane Endowment Scholarship. Clipperton, 18, was homeschooled and is a computer information-technology student. Daughter of Theresa Clipperton of Chocowinity, she plans to become a self-employed web developer.

Kyle Clodfelter of Plymouth has received the David Clark Endowment Scholarship. Clodfelter, 20, is the son of Freddy and Lynn Clodfelter of Plymouth. He attended Northside High School and is working toward an associate of arts and sciences. Clodfelter currently works at Ace Hardware and plans to work at PotashCorp, Weyerhaeuser or Domtar.

Brandi Jordan of Washington has received the Myrtle Cutler Jones Scholarship. Jordan, 21, is a nursing student. Daughter of Edward Jordan and Melonie Lewis of Pinetown, she plans to work as a nurse and continue onto a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

Blake McRoy of Washington has received the David C. Lee Jr. Scholarship. McRoy, 20, attended Washington High School and is an automotive-systems technology student. Son of Misty Davenport of Washington and Travis Coley of Rocky Mount, he plans to continue working in the automotive field. He currently works at Pugh’s Tire and Service Center.

Colby Meekins of Washington has received the Albert Jowdy Endowment Scholarship. Meekins, 18, attended Northside High School and is a mechanical engineering-technology student. Son of David and Paula Meekins of Washington, he plans to continue his education at East Carolina University. He currently works at Stems-Corp East.

Darian Stoica of Grimesland has received the BCCC Foundation Scholarship. Stoica, 20, attended D.H. Conley High School, had previously attended Pitt Community College and is a medical office administration student. Daughter of Melinda and Alexandru Stoica of Greenville, she plans to become a medical coder.

Zindi Rochin-Garcia of Washington has received the Reid Sasnett Scholarship. Rochin-Garcia, 18, attended Washington High School. Daughter of Christian Rochin-Lopez and Griseld Rodriguez Garcia, she plans to receive paramedic training. Rochin-Garcia currently works at Care-O-World.

Nancy Wallace of Washington has received the Bunyan Ruritan Club Scholarship. Wallace, 42, attended Washington High School and is working toward an associate degree in nursing. Daughter of Carl and Gail Alligood, wife of David Wallace and mother of two, she plans to work in the neonatal intensive care unit at Vidant Medical Center. She currently works as a nail technician at Tips and Toes in Oasis.

Samantha Wilkins of Farmville has received the Myrtle Cutler Jones Scholarship. Wilkins, 27, is a nursing student. She attended Ayden-Grifton High School and holds an associate of human services with a concentration in substance abuse. She is the daughter of Tammy Moore of Farmville and William Stanley of Kinston. She plans to become a nurse.
