The Washington-Beaufort County Board of Realtors President Jeffrey Tripp and Board of Directors recently presented a large supply of non-perishable food items to Robert Harris, director of the Zion Shelter and Kitchen located at 114 W. Fourth St. in Washington. Food was collected from realtors during the WBCBR membership meeting held on Feb. 15 and in the local realty offices for 12 days following the meeting. Each calendar year, our membership is committed to sponsor several community worthwhile charitable organizations. Zion Shelter and Kitchen is one of those organizations. Their mission is to “feed the local and transient homeless population” as well as provide shelter. In addition, Zion Shelter and Kitchen serves lunch five days a week to anyone in need of a hot meal. A big “thank you” to all who gave toward this most worthy endeavor to feed the homeless and needy individuals in our area and support the mission of Zion.
