David “Bud” Jackson

Mr. David “Bud” Lewis Jackson, age 78, a resident of Long Ridge Rd., Pinetown, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Pinetown Missionary Baptist Church and will be conducted by Pastor Greg Bell, Pastor Lyman Sheppard and Pastor J.N. Baggett. Burial will follow in the Jackson Family Cemetery. Rodney Jackson, David Jackson, Dawson Jackson, Dylan Jackson, Wyatt Brown and Britt Perry will serve as pallbearers. Ronald Carrow and Ricky Carrow will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Mr. Jackson was born in Beaufort County on May 15, 1938 to the late David Andrew Jackson and Mertie Alice Respess Jackson. He was a 1956 graduate of Bath High School, and retired after 25 years of service as a welder with National Spinning. He was a member and served as a Deacon at Pinetown Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Hilda Dauzat of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Carolyn Jackson of Long Ridge Rd., Pinetown; a brother, Carlton Jackson and wife Marlean of Long Ridge Rd., Pinetown; nephews, Andy Jackson, Rodney Jackson, David Jackson and wife Wendy, all of Pinetown, Mike Dauzat, Mark Dauzat and wife Karla, all of Florida; a niece: Teresa Brown of Dunn; great nieces and nephews, Wyatt, Dylan, Emma, Lilly, Dawson, Kasey, Gavin, Kaileigh; many adopted family members, Tracy, Chastity, Jackie, Codie, Justin W., Brett Luke, Emily, Patrick, Justin G. and special friend, his cat, Tinkerbell.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
