Two men arrested on drug charges

Authorities arrested two Beaufort County men last week on drug charges.
On Thursday, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Thomas Gaynor, 31, of 409 Idalia Road in Aurora, and Nathan Freeman Jr., 35, of 363 E. Pantego St. in Belhaven.
Gaynor was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Freeman was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Their arrest stemmed from investigators conducting surveillance on a residence located on Idalia Road in Aurora. Investigators have received complaints that numerous people are hanging out at the residence selling drugs.
Investigators witnessed Gaynor leave the residence, deliver a quantity of drugs and return to the residence. They followed Gaynor to the residence and witnessed Freeman in the driveway.
Investigators witnessed Freeman attempt to hide some drugs in tires in the driveway. They searched in the area of the tires and found 42 plastic bags containing cocaine and three plastic bags containing heroin. Investigators seized $529 from Freeman.
Gaynor was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond. Freeman was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond. Gaynor and Freeman are on probation for drug offenses.
