On Friday, investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Khalil Mitchell, 22, of 706 Patton Circle, apartment No. 21, in Winterville.

Mitchell was charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, two counts of selling heroin and two counts of delivering heroin.

Mitchell’s arrest stemmed from investigators receiving information that Mitchell was delivering and selling heroin in Beaufort County. Investigators made undercover purchases of heroin from Mitchell. He was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $35,000 secured bond.
