3-D Faux Stained Glass Painting Class
May 12 | 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Heike is one of our favorite instructors here, and she’s back to teach another fun-filled class involving a framed glass, nail polish and a wide variety of shells, beads and such. Please bring a creative spirit, a favorite hot glue gun and have a great time with friends on a Friday night creating a beautiful, framed-glass painting to take home and enjoy.

Cost of this class is $35, plus $10 for all materials.

Glass Etching Class with Cathy Clayton
May 13 | 9 a.m. to noon

Learn the wonderful art of glass etching with Cathy in the Down Draft studio. She will take students through the basics and help them create a fantastic piece of art to take home and treasure. The skill is so adaptable to many applications, from monogramming casserole dishes to making custom mugs and wine glasses. The ideas are endless. Afterward, students can come in and use the equipment (for a small fee) to create to their heart’s content.

The class is limited to six. Hurry to sign up. Cost of this class is $40 with all materials provided.

Wood Burning Basics with Cathy Clayton
May 13 | 1-4 p.m.

The ancient art of wood burning (also known as pyrography) is a form of art that carries from generation to generation. It is done with a simple wood-burning tool and wood, and the results can be astounding. Just take a look at Cathy’s productions for proof of that. She will offer an advanced class later on for those who want to take this to another level. The studio should be available for individual projects.

Cost is $40 with all materials provided. The class is limited to six students, so hurry and get a seat.

Silver Clay Jewelry Class
May 20 | 9 a.m. to noon, 1-4 p.m.

There will be two classes offered: one for pendants in the morning, and if that fills up, another in the afternoon for earrings.

Join Art Clay-certified instructor Donna Sneed for an introduction to the properties and use of metal clay in the form of 0.999 fine silver. Students will use their imaginations to create a two-layer fine silver pendant or a pair of fine silver earrings. Finished greenware will go home with the instructor for kiln firing and polishing and will be returned by May 26 for pickup by the students. Class size is limited to 10 students.

Class fee is $40. Materials and use of tools are an extra $15.
