The Washington (noon) Rotary Club along with Washington Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram are sponsoring this year’s Memorial Day Celebration May 29 in Festival Park, downtown Washington. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. with music from Caroline Dare, followed by Spare Change with an address by Maj. Gen. Gordon Nash, USMC, Ret. The fireworks show, brought to us by the Beaufort County Board of Commissioners, will begin at sunset. Local food vendors will provide a variety of choices, so bring a blanket or lawn chairs and join us at Washington’s Festival Park for a relaxing and fun Memorial Day.
