Published 6:00 pm Friday, May 19, 2017

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC, visit ENC Shelter Dogs, ENC Shelter Cats and Washington Cat Rescue on Facebook or call 252-946-4517 for more information. The Humane Society of Beaufort County can also be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BeaufortCountyNCHumaneSociety.

Requests for more information with regard to the animals appearing in Pets of the Week may be directed to shelter staff in person at the shelter during business hours or by emailing animal.control@co.beaufort.nc.us — always use the animal’s ID number.

Juno

Beautiful in her American shorthair coat, this tabby girl is dressed in colors of creamy tan with ebony stripes. Pristine white shows on her chin and near her rosebud nose. One-year-old Juno is a medium-size girl — with huge, captivating hazel eyes, and a personality that is friendly and loving. Juno is already spayed and ready, after her reduced fee is paid, to go to her good forever home. When given love, warmth and stability, she will blossom into a devoted friend, pet and companion.

For more on Juno, visit www.facebook.com/EncShelterCats. Juno’s ID#0676.

Come in and meet this remarkable cat. She’s available at the shelter through next Saturday.

Vader

Handsome in his — shiny as patent leather — black coat, Vader is friendly, playful and smart.

At approximately 10 months old, this medium-size bully/boxer-mix displays a quiet and sweet nature — loving people and their attention. Vader will do best with an active family with owner(s) willing to give him basic obedience training, consistent exercise in a fenced area or on a leash, their love and attention and a good forever home.

For more information on him, visit www.facebook.com/ENC Shelter Dogs. Vader’s ID#0602.

Come in and play with him; he’s available through the following Saturday at the shelter.
